How to open and close a jump ring

Step 1.

Using two pliers on two hands, grab two sides of the ring toward the opening.

Step 2.

With one hand moving toward you, the other end moving against you, twist the pliers with your wrist just enough to form a small opening.

Step 3.

To close the jump ring, reverse the movement of the two hands.
